Ciafani (Legamebiente): "We were pioneers in the circular economy"

Rome, 4 June (Adnkronos) – “It is often thought that Europe imposes choices on member countries, but in the case of the circular economy the opposite has happened: Italy was the first to pave the way, with concrete experiences of separate waste collection, industrial plants and production chains that the Union has included in its directives and regulations, and which have anticipated European objectives.

We have an international leadership that we still talk about too little: the Italian model of the circular economy is an extraordinary example, to be preserved and strengthened for the future". This is the comment of Stefano Ciafani, national president of Legambiente, on the occasion of the Ecoforum 2025, held in Rome and organized by Legambiente, Nuova Ecologia and Kyoto Club.
